The SRC is the official voice of the student body at Bhekisizwe. Elected annually by their peers, SRC members serve as the bridge between learners and school management, driving initiatives that improve school life for everyone.

Supports the president, oversees sub-committees, and steps in during the president's absence.
Records meeting minutes, manages communications, and keeps the council's calendar.
Manages SRC funds, budgets for events, and ensures financial accountability.
Sport at Bhekisizwe builds discipline, teamwork, and resilience. We compete in district and provincial tournaments across multiple codes.
Our football team competes in the Nqutu District league and the Transnet Schools Cup. Training every Tuesday and Thursday.
District LevelA powerhouse in the district, our netball team has placed in the top 3 for the past four consecutive years.
Provincial ContenderTrack and field events including 100m, 400m, long jump, and cross-country. Multiple district medal winners every year.
Multi-EventA growing programme with both boys' and girls' teams. Zanele Shabalala was selected for the KZN U18 Provincial team in 2025.
Boys & Girls TeamsCompetitive cricket with summer fixtures against district schools. Coaching provided by qualified SACA-registered coaches.

Peer tutoring, extra classes, and subject-specific workshops for learners who need additional help. Available to all grades free of charge.
Our school counsellor provides confidential one-on-one sessions. A safe space for learners dealing with personal, social, or emotional challenges.
Senior learners are trained as peer mentors, guiding junior students through academic pressures and the transition into senior secondary school life.
